Talking Head

A simple 3D paper cut using a minimal colour palette with speech bubbles to represent the brain, mouth and throat. All elements hand cut from coloured paper.

Another Step

I originally created this design as a hand made paper cut - but also produced a couple of digital versions based on the saying 'One step at a time'. These digital graphics were created in Illustrator - but I much preferred creating the paper cut version.

Cloned

This 3D paper cut design is a play on words - Cloned and CloWned - cloned clowns.
I hope it makes sense? All elements hand cut from coloured card and the layers assembled with foam spacers to create depth. The tricky part was making the clowns identical - from paper that is no mean feat. I think they look pretty similar?

Vinyl

A simple design created using paper shapes cut with scissors. Although this method is quite fiddly and time consuming, you get a nice hand made feel which I think adds to the effect. This design celebrates vinyl LP's and 45's for those who can remember them!

Grin and Bear it

A new paper cut design based on the popular phrase 'Grin and bear it'. I have created a bear, with a grin, with a sign. Mission completed. All elements hand cut and assembled from coloured card.

Bubble

Another hand cut paper design based on the feeling I'm in my own little world sometimes!
All elements are cut from paper and glued down, and the final result is then photographed.
The process is much more fun than working digitally and you get a nice hand crafted look.

Inner Colour

This 3D paper cut design has no real graphic message, I just thought it would make a nice effect revealing the colours behind the paper oval 'doors'. The second image reminds me of pantone chips - albeit circular ones.
